The story depicts a space solder who lost his wife and child in explosion which ended the world. The viewer is suppose to think that he is suicidal due to the flash backs and the climax at the end, where he’s standing at the edge of a platform and it amperes that he is go into to step off the edge. But he is left to wander the rouble alone forever.
